My Journey from Photography to Painting

After working as a professional photographer for ten years, I felt it was time for a change—and that change led me to painting. That’s where I truly found my passion. What drives me in both photography and painting is the desire to tell stories and to capture beauty—whether it’s in the quiet of a still life or in a broader, more layered visual narrative. Painting gives me the space to go deeper, to explore my own emotions and interpretations.

What I love most about painting is the hands-on process. There’s something grounding about working with paint, brushes, and texture. It connects me to the moment and lets me discover how color and form can work together to express a feeling, a memory, or an idea.

I’m always looking for the story behind the image. Every painting I make carries a meaning or message that I want to share. I often work in series—it helps me dive into a theme and see it from different angles. I also enjoy working on multiple pieces at once, as it keeps my ideas flowing and evolving.

Switching from photography to painting felt like a natural step. It allowed me to deepen my creative expression and to find new ways of connecting with others. Each new piece I create is part of an ongoing search—for beauty, for meaning, and above all, for the stories I feel compelled to tell.
