LEFTOVERS

After cooking, I often found more waste on the kitchen counter than food in the pan. That image became the starting point for this series.

For its visual language, I drew inspiration from 17th-century still lifes, in which food and tableware were painted with great care and attention. While those paintings celebrated the prosperity of their time, I place the spotlight on what remains after consumption.
